Visual Inspections

Using drones, IntEx Imaging has had much success with completing visual inspections of hard to reach or hazardous locations in construction and plant environments. With our engineering background and extensive drone piloting skills, we are well positioned to gather photo and video documentation of areas of concern our clients may have. This often results in significant cost and time savings and improved safety. In addition, you will receive high quality documentation to support your decision making and reporting. See below for two projects where IntEx Imaging provided drone visual inspections for our clients.

RJC Engineers - Water Treatment Plant Trough Visual Inspection

Our client was contracted to determine repair requirements for a water tank with troughs running through it. This tank when drained is considered a confined space and would also require fall protection and H2S training for any employees accessing it to determine repair requirements. IntEx Imaging proposed using a drone to fly through the tank and troughs to capture 4K video documentation which could then be reviewed to determine repair requirements. Once the tank was drained, we captured all of the required footage within 3 hours and the tank was returned to service the same evening. This plan resulted exposing zero workers to a hazardous area, in reduced downtime for the treatment plant, and cost savings associated with not having to set up scaffolding, fall protection, or confined space entry procedures.

John Clark Architect - Arch Visual Inspection

This is project where IntEx Imaging assisted our client document a $25MM construction project using drones and 360 cameras. Post-construction, there was concern about some visible cracks on the wood arches so IntEx Imaging completed a visual inspection using a drone to capture high quality photo and video documentation. These were shared with our client the same day so they could make a decision about whether or not repairs may be required. In this case, the photo and video evidence allowed our client to be confident that the integrity of the arches was sound.
